General

The SIPART PS2 electro-pneumatic positioner is used to control the final control element of pneumatic linear or part-turn actuators. The electro-pneumatic positioner moves the actuator to a valve position corresponding to the set point. Additional function inputs can be used to block the valve or to set a safety position. A binary input is present as standard in the basic device for this purpose.

• Few moving parts, hence insensitive to vibrations
• External non contacting sensor as option for extreme ambient conditions
• "Intelligent solenoid valve": Partial Stroke Test and solenoid valve function in one device
• Partial Stroke Test e. g. for safety valves
• Full Stroke Test, Multi Step Response Test, Valve Performance Test for performance and maintenance evaluation of the valve
• Can also be operated with purified natural gas, carbon dioxide, nitrogen or noble gases
• SIL (Safety Integrity Level) 2
