The Banner Engineering SLM180P6Q is a rugged metal slot sensor designed for reliable object detection in industrial automation systems. It features an integrated opposed-mode emitter and receiver within a single U-shaped housing, eliminating the need for separate emitter and receiver alignment and simplifying installation.

With a 180 mm slot width and PNP transistor output, the SLM180P6Q detects objects passing through its sensing slot. It operates on a 10–30 V DC supply and features an integral 3-pin M8 quick-disconnect connector. Its nickel-plated die-cast zinc housing, IP67 protection, adjustable sensitivity and selectable Light Operate/Dark Operate modes make it suitable for demanding industrial applications.
