Description
General
The Banner Engineering M18TB6EQ is a non-contact infrared temperature sensor designed for industrial temperature detection and process monitoring applications. It detects infrared energy emitted by objects without physical contact, making it suitable for monitoring moving products, hot components and temperature-sensitive manufacturing processes.
Featuring a plastic Fresnel optical lens with a 6:1 distance-to-spot ratio, the sensor detects surface temperatures within a range of 0–300°C. Its infrared sensing technology can detect temperature differences as small as 3°C, providing reliable temperature-based switching for industrial automation applications.
The M18TB6EQ provides one bipolar switching output, supporting both NPN and PNP operation. Its integrated 5-pin M12 quick-disconnect connector simplifies installation and maintenance. Push-button and remote Teach programming allow convenient adjustment of the temperature switching threshold.
