Description
General
The Banner Engineering M18TB8Q is a non-contact infrared temperature sensor designed for industrial temperature monitoring and detection applications. It detects infrared energy emitted by objects without physical contact, making it suitable for monitoring moving products, hot components and temperature-sensitive manufacturing processes.
Featuring an integrated optical lens with an 8:1 distance-to-spot ratio, the sensor detects temperature differences within a range of 0–300°C. Its thermopile sensing technology responds to infrared radiation emitted by objects and activates its output when the configured temperature condition is detected.
The M18TB8Q provides one NPN and one PNP switching output for integration with industrial automation and control systems. Its integral 5-pin M12 quick-disconnect connector simplifies installation and maintenance. Push-button and remote Teach programming allow convenient adjustment of the temperature switching threshold.
