Description
General
The Banner Engineering M18TB6E is a non-contact infrared temperature sensor designed for industrial temperature monitoring and detection applications. It detects infrared energy emitted by objects without requiring physical contact, making it suitable for monitoring moving products, hot components and temperature-sensitive manufacturing processes.
The sensor features a plastic Fresnel optical lens with a 6:1 distance-to-spot ratio and measures temperatures within a range of 0–300°C. Its thermopile sensing technology detects infrared radiation in the 8–14 μm wavelength range and provides switching signals when the configured temperature threshold is reached.
The M18TB6E offers one NPN and one PNP switching output, with adjustable temperature thresholds through push-button or remote Teach programming. Its M18 stainless-steel housing and 2 m cable make it suitable for integration into industrial automation and process monitoring systems.
