Description
General
The Banner Engineering M18TIP14Q is a non-contact infrared temperature sensor designed for industrial temperature measurement and process monitoring applications. It detects infrared radiation emitted by objects without physical contact, making it suitable for monitoring moving products, hot components and temperature-sensitive manufacturing processes.
Featuring a Germanium optical lens with a 14:1 distance-to-spot ratio, the sensor measures surface temperatures within a range of 0–300°C. Its thermopile sensing technology detects infrared radiation in the 8–14 μm wavelength range and converts it into an electrical signal proportional to the measured temperature.
The sensor provides a continuous 4–20 mA analog output and an additional PNP alarm output that activates when the analog signal reaches its 20 mA measuring limit. The measuring range can be configured using push-button or remote Teach programming. Its 5-pin M12 quick-disconnect connector allows convenient integration into industrial automation and process control systems.
