Description
General
The Banner Engineering M18TIP14 is a non-contact infrared temperature sensor designed for industrial temperature measurement and process monitoring applications. It detects infrared radiation emitted by objects without physical contact, making it suitable for monitoring moving products, hot components and temperature-sensitive manufacturing processes.
Featuring a Germanium optical lens with a 14:1 distance-to-spot ratio, the sensor measures surface temperatures within a range of 0–300°C. Its thermopile sensing technology converts infrared radiation into an electrical signal, providing continuous temperature information through a 4–20 mA analog output.
The sensor also incorporates a PNP alarm output that switches when the analog output reaches its 20 mA limit. Users can configure the measuring range through push-button or remote Teach programming. Its M18 stainless-steel housing and 2 m shielded cable make it suitable for integration into industrial automation and process control systems.
