Description
General
The Banner Engineering S15S-T-MQ is a non-contact infrared temperature sensor designed for continuous temperature monitoring in industrial machinery and automation systems. It uses a thermopile detector to measure infrared energy emitted by objects, allowing surface temperature monitoring without physical contact.
The sensor communicates temperature measurements digitally through an RS-485 interface using Modbus RTU, making it suitable for integration with PLCs, industrial controllers, gateways and condition-monitoring systems. Its compact S15 cylindrical housing and M12 connector support convenient installation in industrial environments.
The S15S-T-MQ is particularly useful for monitoring hot or cold components, detecting temperature changes in production processes and monitoring critical machine assets. Its wide 35° field of view allows it to measure the apparent temperature of objects within its sensing area.
